About Pastel Nagomi Art: Pastel Nagomi Art is a form of Japanese art therapy designed for everyone with or without a background in art. It is very popular in Japan and is widely practiced and taught by counsellors, therapists, teachers, and artists. The art is created with pastel powder and the meditative processes bring a calm to the artist when painting. Paintings can be completed in one sitting or leisurely indulged for as long as one wants. Pastel Nagomi Art helps calm the mind, reduces stress, and grounds us back to nature. There is a sense of harmony and hope when we paint, and many artists find it soothing and healing. Our Philosophy: Art is in all of us. This is what we have always believed. We are all born artists. It is what makes us human. We create. We use our hands to make things. It helps us heal and makes us feel ever more connected to nature and ourselves. When we paint, we channel hope and love back into our hearts. We rediscover ourselves. Peaceful Cattails Join us in painting a peaceful scene by the water where cattails sway gently in the breeze, framing a quiet night sky. In this 1.5 hour workshop, you will be guided through the basic techniques of creating a Pastel Nagomi painting. All materials are provided for use and participants will take home their completed artwork at the end of the workshop. This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 10 years old and above, with or without art experience or background.
Rainbow Dreams Let us guide you in painting a rainbow scene full of joy and wonder in a beautiful landscape of trees and flowers. In this 2 hour workshop, you will be guided through the basic techniques of creating a Pastel Nagomi painting. All materials are provided for use and participants will take home their completed artwork at the end of the workshop. This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 10 years old and above, with or without art experience or background.
